Baby’s First Year – In Studio
It’s been a while, over a year, actually, since I’ve been posting regularly. And in that time, more than 350 beautiful families have come through my doors. Babies like sweet Madeline, who I first met while she was still in her mama’s belly.
From her maternity session to those quiet newborn days, and now to her first birthday session, each chapter of her story has unfolded in front of my lens. It’s wild, and so humbling, how quickly time moves. One moment they’re curled up in your arms, impossibly tiny and new. The next, they’re giggling in the studio, smashing cake and finding their own little voice in the world.
This is why I love what I do. Documenting a baby’s first year is more than a series of photos—it’s a visual story of growth, connection, and love. It’s the soft glow of anticipation during maternity photos, the peaceful hush of a newborn session, and the joyful chaos of a one-year milestone. These are the fleeting moments that shape your family’s story.
I needed a break this past year. Social media has never come easy for me. I love sharing the stories we create together, but the words never seem to do them justice. How do you put into words the warmth of a tiny hand resting in yours, or the way a mother’s eyes soften when she looks at her baby?
So I stepped back. But I’m easing my way back in—slowly, hopefully. No pressure, no perfect captions. Just honest glimpses of the families I’ve been lucky enough to photograph and the beautiful seasons we’ve captured together.
